Brubaker Urges Lancaster County Residents to Send Greeting Cards to Military
Personnel
HARRISBURG - Senator Mike Brubaker (R-36) is urging Lancaster County
residents to express their appreciation for members of the Armed Forces during
the holiday season by sending cards and messages of support to U.S. military
personnel.
Local residents can drop off messages of support for U.S. troops to
Brubakers district office at 301 East Main Street in Lititz. Brubaker and his
staff will collect cards for U.S. military personnel until December 6, and the
cards will be sorted and mailed on or before December 9.
Last year, local residents dropped off more than 4,700 messages of support
and appreciation for the men and women who are serving in the Armed Forces and
soldiers at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
"It is important for our troops to know that we appreciate their tremendous
sacrifices to protect freedom and democracy across the globe," Brubaker said. "I
urge local residents to take a few moments to express their support and
appreciation for the men and women who are risking their lives to keep our
nation safe."
The collection effort will be conducted in conjunction with the American Red
Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes program.
