For Immediate Release Brubaker Appointed to Serve on EPA Farm, Ranch and Rural Communities CommitteeHARRISBURG Sen. Mike Brubaker (R-36) has been selected to serve on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agencys Farm, Ranch and Rural Communities Committee (FRRCC) to provide guidance to the federal government on issues facing rural communities. The FRRCC is an independent committee that advises the EPA on issues relating to agriculture and rural communities. Committee members include representatives from academia, industry, non-governmental organizations, and state, local, and tribal governments. "While the needs of each individual community may differ from one another, all rural communities across the nation share a number of similar environmental concerns and issues," Brubaker said. "I am deeply honored to be selected to participate as a member of this committee, and I look forward to working with my colleagues to protect the interests of our rural communities." Members are selected to complete two-year terms on the committee. | ||
