Brubaker Congratulates Paradise Elementary School on Gold Standard Certification

HARRISBURG –Sen. Mike Brubaker (R-36) issued the following statement today in response to Paradise Elementary School's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) gold standard certification.

"I would like to congratulate Paradise Elementary School and the Pequea Valley School District on receiving Lancaster County's first LEED gold standard certification for excellence in environmental design. It was an honor to take part in Sunday's dedication of the new school, and I salute the school district for its commitment to promoting energy efficiency and protecting our environment. As the first 'green' school in our area, Paradise will serve as a shining example of how we can promote the use of new technologies to pass on a cleaner environment to future generations."
