Back Senator Brubaker Responds to Governor's Budget Address
HARRISBURG – State Senator Mike Brubaker (R-36) issued the
following statement after Governor Rendell's address to the General Assembly
today regarding his 2008-2009 budget proposal:
"Today marks the beginning of the 2008-2009 budget process,
the starting point of many months of discussion and negotiations to develop
a fiscal plan that truly works for this Commonwealth. I was interested to
hear the Governor's ideas this morning; however, I also believe it is
important that every line item be scrutinized to make sure it provides clear
and cost-effective benefits to the citizens of Pennsylvania.
"I plan to be actively engaged throughout the process and
look forward to hearing constituent feedback and working with my colleagues
in the General Assembly and the administration over the coming weeks and
months."
