2008 Pennsylvania calendars now available at 36th District office

HARRISBURG – A limited supply of 2008 calendars honoring the service of Senate soldiers is available at the 36th District office, state Senator Mike Brubaker (R-36) said today.

Brubaker said that this year's calendar is dedicated both to those Senators who made important sacrifices as brave members of our armed services, as well as to all veterans who have fought and are still fighting for peace and freedom. The brief profiles of 12 Senate soldiers serve as an inspiring reminder of the courage and commitment so many of our young men and women have made and continue making on behalf of our entire Commonwealth.

The calendars also feature a series of photographs highlighting various aspects of the Capitol's architectural splendor and showcasing the decorative details that make the institution timeless.

Constituents can pick up calendars at the district office at 301 E. Main Street in Lititz (627-0036) while supplies remain available.

Guided tours are a great way to see the impressive features of the Capitol in person and are offered every half hour, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Weekends and most holidays, tours are offered at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Groups of 10 or more people need to make advance reservations by calling 1-800-TOUR N PA. The 36th District office can also help to arrange visits.
