April 14, 2009 - Senator Brubaker meets with

Kitchen in New York City.

Senator Brubaker meets with representatives of the
United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) during a trip to New York to
learn more about anti-hunger programs. Senator Brubaker and members of
his staff met with UNICEF Government Relations Senior Advisor Ted Maly,
Nutrition Section Advisor Werner Schulting and Principal Advisor Stephen
Jarrett during the trip.

During a trip to New York City to gain new perspectives
on the problem of hunger, Senator Brubaker and Senator O’Pake meet with
Joel Berg, Executive Director of the New York City Coalition Against
Hunger and author of the book “All You Can Eat: How Hungry Is America?”

Brubaker and members of his staff met with WFP Director Deborah Saidy
and Senior Public Affairs Officer Bettina Luescher during the trip.

Hunger Year (WHY) in New York to discuss domestic programs to fight
hunger. Senator Brubaker met with WHY Executive Director Bill Ayres,
Board of Directors Member Tom Chapin, Research and Outreach Coordinator
Siena Graves Chrisman and Program Directors Kelly Morrison and Priscilla
Rames.

Senator Brubaker and members of his staff
volunteered at Bowery Mission in New York City to serve members of the
community and speak with volunteers. Senator Brubaker was joined by his
Legislative Director Kristin Crawford and staff member Lydia Hollinger.

February 10, 2009 - Senator Mike Brubaker (R-Lancaster) presides over
the first meeting of the legislative Hunger Caucus, which is working to examine
food insecurity issues and obtain information on the needs and progress of
programs to address hunger.
